What is ETHICAL in the market ?

Number of commercial activities have way to arouse & enlarge a slow crowd. The entrepreneur's dream of building and domain will always be stifled because of this crowd. Some things maximize their gains, but they must still abstain. The reasons is:-

An ethics arouse within the culture of the organisation or we can say that depend upon type of individuals working in the organisation and their behavior . Sometimes, our norms are disturbed and this create environment of  confusion . Now , one question arises that :-

" Is it ETHICAL to sale TOBACCO in market which is HARMFUL for consumers "

Tobacco and fermented alcohol has been around for a longer period of time than you can imagine. Origin of alcohol dates back million of years, and tobacco , thousands. The process of manufacturing this life threatening product is very simple and easy . In the end , they still do cause harm. And today, we consider the affect on our health of these goods.

During recent years, the fact that people had less knowledge about the effect of tobacco in order to gain more. That was the time when tobacco companies delude individuals . Afterward , as this was considered an unethical practice, they were sued and lost a lot of money. But it wasn't necessarily over, we still had lesser developed countries to use.

Let us take an example that country like SOUTH AFRICA which had frail regulatory environment and less knowledge about these goods.

There were some of great unethical practices known in tobacco companies. Moreover mere use & production is also be considered as UNETHICAL. And this might be reason enough for use to denigrate these products. As China is the largest producer and consumer of tobacco products. While there is ban on marketing and advertisement but still due to sponsorship and corporate social responsibility its demand never stops or we can say that CSR activities constitute indirect marketing attempts but that should be embargo. There was need to restrict this CSR in order to protect the future generation. This need is fulfilled by national tobacco control legislation.

Let us talk about nation -India .In India these products are freely sell by the manufacturer to what extent I have seen Generally uneducated individual are being manipulated by hiding facts People are behaving unethically in many  . As the below given time suggest  one way -

"The affect of the Smoke on non- smokers was unethical as it was considered to cause harm to someone who is an not involved."

Well-aware of the dangers of smoking and people still do it. Why? Imagine working 8 hours a day, coming out exhausted. And having a moment to relax with a smoke (or a drink). The few hours of their working lives when the dopamine in the drug brought them, almost to nirvana.

Let's also talk about how this made their working lives easier. How less stress could cause greater productivity, and a perhaps more fulfilling life. How, given freewill, we've chosen to slowly self-destruct with purpose. And it might kill them in the end, but (bear with me on this one), regardless of whether you smoke or not, aging itself can do that. Perhaps, you'll go a bit easier without the disease, though.

Even if it is detrimental to our well-being, time and time again we have learned that prohibition is never the answer—it lead to black markets, and people still abusing them, more than ever. Its prevalent at this point, that people should have a right to use or not. The mere production, as long as there a demand for it, should be a right. Given all this, should we still condemn the production and use of these products? Do we have a right to condemn?

  6. Rightly said, condemning the production of tobacco is not the ultimate solution, unless people themselves understand its harmful effects, thereby reducing its consumption.Great work done.

    1. People addicted to one thing will not change but what can be changed is not letting another people get addicted to it

  7. Well interpreted. Production will remain continue until and unless people stop demanding for it. If people stop demanding for it then there is no need for production of such a harmful thing.
